Brogan Residence

Brighton, United Kingdom

Design Challenge

M.Brogan lives in Brighton, UK. It is a 6 storey house on the coast in Brighton. The draw back of his house that was built in 1895 for the professors of the college is that they have a small, north facing garden. By creating a living wall, it gave him 40 square feet extra garden space! He also framed the living wall with a run of copper tape around to stop the slugs and snails from having a bite to eat. An irrigation system setup and is hardly visible. His living wall is next to his hot tub, so he can enjoy it while he has a soak. He plans on experimenting with the color scheme by moving the planters around to get a really good pallet of colours.

Irrigation

This Living Wall is watered with a drip irrigation system, utilizing Woolly Pocket's Living Wall Planter Drip Kits (24), Drip Supply Line Kit (1) and Digital Drip Timer Valve (1). All of the irrigation components are as designed, hidden from view, and installed inside each watering tank. The Drip Supply Line Kit was concealed inside the wall during construction to lend to the overall floating effect of the Living Wall.
